Gallanza is a Boss in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Glanza is one of the three generals of Avia and the commander of the mighty Silver Wolf Corps. He wields a massive halberd in hand and infuses the element of earth to intimidate his foes with wide and area-of-effect attacks. Bosses are special types of enemies that have distinct characteristics, and unique abilities that extremely challenge the player in strategy and combat. These formidable hostile beings are generally required to be defeated to advance the main campaign, to complete primary side quest objectives, and to earn unique rewards.

During Chapter 4: Skies Forever Blue, after players escape the enemy ship and chase the red ship, they will go through a cutscene introducing Gallanza as he makes his way onto Grandcypher Deck. His attack style is quite fast and aggressive so it may be a challenge to get close to him but there will be chances to attack him as he does have attacks that only target in front of him.
Gallanza often likes to move around the arena and rarely stays in one position unless performing an attack. One of his attacks is his Staff Blast, this is where he charges up his staff and releases a fire beam in front of him, he performs this attack at least three times. This leaves him open on his sides and his back for players to attack. His next attack comes in a combination of staff stabs which come fast at players but still leave him open on his sides and back, allowing players to deal damage to him. Lastly, he has an attack where he will spin his staff above him and then stab it into the ground creating a ground burst that covers a large AoE around him. Players can easily indicate where the ground burst ends with a thin red outline on the ground, and dodge out of the area to avoid getting damaged.
During Overdrive Mode, Gallanza performs his Martial Spear attack that starts off with him waving his staff in circular motions that release waves of fire toward the players. There will be gaps where players can dodge to avoid the fire waves and eventually get closer to him to attack him from the sides. Sometimes after the Martial Spear attack, he will leap to the opposite side, which can be indicated by a red circle where he will land, the second time he leaps, he will perform a ground-smashing attack, which will also be indicated by a red ring so players will have enough time to dodge out the way. After some time of relocating himself, he will perform a staff swing, which is a sequence of staff swings, and finish it off with a ground smash. After the ground smash, he will pause for a brief moment so players can take this time to attack him. One of his deadly attacks is Storming Death, which is when he throws his spear up toward the sky, leaps up to catch it, and drops firebombs around the majority of the arena so players will have to carefully maneuver around the area. After that, he will drop down and cause a ground smash along with 6 or more spikes in different directions. During the bomb drops, it's best to try reach the edge where there are no markings of the bomb drops to also avoid the ground smashing spikes.
During Chapter 8: Relink, players will encounter him again after a series of other bosses. He will be teaming up with Maglielle. They will unleash multiple attacks. Maglielle will send out her pink spinning blades which are easy to see, while Gallanza will be up in the air, shooting fire waves towards players that they can easily dodge. However, he will also summon fire blasts from the floor that can be indicated with a red outline before they start.

On his second leap, it's best to dodge away from him to avoid the ground attack. |
