Angra Mainyu is a Boss in Granblue Fantasy Relink.. Angra Mainyu is the feared Primal Beast of Gateways, with the ability to open a gateway to anywhere with enough energy.
Bosses are special types of enemies that have distinct characteristics, and unique abilities that extremely challenge the player in strategy and combat. These formidable hostile beings are generally required to be defeated to advance the main campaign, to complete primary side quest objectives, and to earn unique rewards.

Chapter 8: Relink
After going through the interdimensional gate, players will watch a long cutscene before needing to battle Angra Mainyu. Angra Mainyu will start off with his claw stabs that connect to him, it can be indicated with a purple laser to know where the claws will land. Once they land, they will be stuck in the ground for a moment, players can take this time to attack the hand. However, Angra Mainyu has a second claw that will aim at the player, so be wary when to dodge out of the attack and then go back to dealing damage to the claws. Players will have to repeat this for a few times.
After a while Angra Mainyu will start grabbing your party members, Vyrn , and erasing them out of existence, It will go in this order: 4, 3 , Vyrn, The character your playing as, and then finally Captain (and lyria). Later on Angra Mainyu will perform ground explosions where a lot of deep pink circles will be seen on the floor and will explode so players will need to find a gap in between the circles to avoid getting damaged. Angra Mainyu will be slightly invisible but players will be able to see a glowing blue crack that they can attack to knock him down. Once the crack is broken a cutscene will show the player rescuing Lyria.
After this, players will be controlling Proto Bahamut to fight Angra Mainyu. Angra Mainyu will have an attack called Predition's Light where it will release several lasers and players will have to mash X (if playing on Xbox) to defeat Angra Mainyu

| Claw Stabs | Angra Mainyu has claws with eyes on them attached to Angra Mainyu that will stab onto the ground. Purple lasers will show where the claws will land when they stab into the ground. | Ground Explosions | Angra Mainyu will release a wave of explosives on the ground.
