Quakadile is a Boss in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Quakadile is a boss who is encountered in Chapter 1 of the official main game while exploring the Sundappled Grove and initially searching for Lyria. The Quakadile first makes an appearance in the Demo of the game during the available Quest: Worried About Papa. The Quakadile seems to be a fusion that seamlessly melds the primal ferocity of a giant crocodile and the mythical grandeur of a dragon, it dominates the battlefield with its imposing presence. Bosses are special types of enemies that have distinct characteristics, and unique abilities that extremely challenge the player in strategy and combat. These formidable hostile beings are generally required to be defeated to advance the main campaign, to complete primary side quest objectives, and to earn unique rewards.

Quakadile Fight Strategy

The Best Tips for Quakadile:

  • Recommended Party: Gran, Lancelot, Rackam, Io
  • Recommended Sigils: Quick Cooldown III, Attack Power III, Critical Hit Rate III

The recommended party for this boss fight would be Gran, Lancelot, Rackam, and Io. Recommended Sigils are Quick Cooldown III so that your skills have shorter cooldowns, Attack Power III to boost your attack power, and Critical Hit Rate III to boost your critical hit rate. The Quakadile pretty much just has the same basic attacks even after entering Overdrive Mode, aside from its two new moves. This boss fight will require you to defeat the Quakadile in under 20 minutes. Gran is a balanced character that can offer both offensive and defensive capabilities for the team, his element is Wind and is the most effective element against this boss fight, he can also provide healing for the team. Io can also provide healing and long-range attacks. Rackam can also stay at a distance while dealing damage and has a skill that can debuff and decrease the boss' DEF. Lancelot can continue a successive barrage of attacks while dodging enemy attacks as his combos can go on as long as you can time the dodge and input a direction while the enemy strike goes your way.

The Quakadile will have multiple body parts that you can lock on to, coordinate with your team if you're playing co-op, and focus on one body part at a time to build up the stun gauge to perform link attacks quicker and stagger the boss, giving you an opportunity to deal more damage. Once the boss fight begins, it may immediately perform the Dreadquake Charge, where it charges forward and knocks down anyone standing in the way, try to keep your distance or dodge on either side to avoid the attack. Another move to look out for is the Tempest Swipe, this is where the Quakadile swipes its arms in a sweeping motion, this move is slow and can be dodged or blocked. Another slow move is the Cyclone Sweep, the Quakadile will perform a sweeping motion with its tail that'll strike anyone around that's within range. The Quakadile will glow red for a moment before performing this attack, keep an eye on that and dodge precisely. It can also perform a Vortex Devour, where the Quakadile uses its breath as a vacuum to suck in anyone within range, and then uses its jaws to bite and attack. You can create some distance to avoid the vacuum or reposition yourself at the rear to avoid the attack.

Just like the Greatshield Madbeat, this boss has a yellow bar of meter just below its health bar, and once this fills up, the Quakadile will go into Overdrive Mode and Bloodthirst will take effect. When they are in this phase, Skybound Arts will be rendered ineffective against them while also reducing all the damage they take. Some bosses will also have access to special attacks that are different from their base form, but this one will only have access to two new moves and retain most of its basic attacks from its base form. This phase will only be temporary but it can happen more than once during a boss fight.

The Quakadile tends to move slowly and take a pause after each attack, giving you a window to deal a few combos. Since it is encountered in a party, there is also a chance the Quakadiel will be facing away while focusing its attacks on another party member. This will allow you to closely tail it while continuing to attack to take advantage of all openings. The Quakadile's actions are generally telegraphed. It pulls back or winds up before lunging, then a long pause follows a large attack giving you plenty of opportunities to strike. Just watch out for the yellow Mode Bar below its health.

Once it enters Overdrive Mode, a few new attacks can be dealt. Players will need to focus on depleting the mode bar by dealing as much damage in overdrive so that it can enter Break once the bar is depleted. This will give you a larger window to lay on more damage.

In Overdrive, it can bash its head onto the ground, you should jump over this attack if you are near the boss as it'll create a mini shockwave around the area. Once it pulls out its head, multiple rock spikes will erupt from the ground. There will be indicators marked red that'll show where the rock spikes will emerge from, stay away from the marked areas to avoid getting hit with the spikes. The most challenging move to avoid is the Razing Roll. This move is where the Quakadile curls up into a ball and starts rolling around on the battlefield. This move can be tricky to dodge, but the best thing to do would be to create some distance and don't let the Quakadile target you.

If you have Lancelot on the team, you can use the Kaltzwinger Skill to an ice trap and immobilize the Quakadile, you can increase the duration of the freeze by holding . You can also opt for Io's Lightning Skill to cast a circle of lightning that inflicts Paralysis. It's best to use these skills when the Quakadile is performing the Razing Roll to avoid the trouble of running around and dodging for a while. If you've managed to keep dodging the rolls, it will ready into a stance and after a few seconds, it will propel itself forward one last time. This final ball roll will have an indicator as to where it will propel toward, if you happen to get targeted by this last roll, it can be quite tricky to dodge as it's the fastest move the Quakadile has. Try leading the last roll and make it hit a wall, it should stagger the Quakadile and give you ample time to deal damage while it's vulnerable. If you have a chance, allow your party to deal a succeeding Skybound Art which could lead to a Fullburst chain burst which occurs after chaining everyone's SBas together for a full burst.

Once you've beaten the boss in under 20 minutes, the quest is cleared and you'll receive the Quest Mode Clear (Demo Version) Reward 2. This reward can only be claimed in the full game. In the full game, the completion of this fight will complete the objective to Defeat the Quakadile.
