How to Recruit Vaseraga in GBF Relink

Vaseraga Combat Guide for Granblue Fantasy Relink

A Draph warrior who hunts primal beasts for the Society. Contractor to the seal weapon known as Great Scythe Grynoth, he uses his incredible strength and unyielding spirit to overwhelm his foes.

Vaseraga has Dark elemental skills, one of them being Battalions of Fear by the pressing X button. This allows Vaseraga to lunge toward an enemy at great speed to attack them and can be chained into a charge attack with . Next, Vaseraga has Violent Shadows by pressing the button , Vaseraga creates a circle that can constantly damage enemies while recovering his HP when damage is dealt to enemies, this skill follows up with a slash upon enemies. Holding  will make this skill last longer. Umbral Eclipse is Vaseraga's  skill. This skill allows Vaseraga to inflict slow upon nearby.

Vaseraga has some passive skills called Feel No Pain and Melas Unleashed. Feel No Pain allows Vaseraga to access Stout Heart, Attack, and a Defense Buff with his special gauge. When charge attacks are landed upon enemies, the gauge will start to fill up. Vaseraga's other passive skill, Melas Unleashed allows Vaseraga to maintain his gauge, it gives him the chance to use this as the gauge will eventually lose the charge. If players arent engaging in battles with enemies, they will still maintain his Stout Heart Buff.

Vaseraga combines  and  to create devastating combos. By pressing , it grants Vaseraga the Stout heart status effect which doesn't interrupt his actions when taking damage. Vaseraga can then charge his  attack following a  attack. If a charged  attack lands, it fills the Grynoth gauge which grants various buffs once the gauge reaches certain levels.

Vaseraga is a heavy character with great damage output, but fights with risks to his own vitality This character is for players who prefer strong heavy attacks and can work through the slower movement speed that comes with his weight and risks of low HP. Players who choose Vaseraga will also need to get used to seeing his low HP and keeping Vaseraga alive, which will be a learning curve, but the payoff is worth the massive damage Vaseraga can deal. This is due to his skills that will naturally grant him strength in other areas while sometimes sacrificing his health. However, this trade-off is worth the buff since Vaseraga will be able to heal himself.

His basic attacks are swift but also perform quite slowly in between each swing. The highlights of his kit are his charged attacks. When using Vaseraga, a bar or meter will appear on screen locked onto him. Fill up this bar by dealing more charged attacks and finishing combos, so make sure to watch when to use △ after a string of regular attacks. This will unleash a large swing with his Scythe. As the meter fills, more buffs are unlocked. You can see the slots fill along with the meter. These slots represent Stout Heart, and Attack and Defense buffs depending on how much the bar is filled. If you find yourself in an inactive area and don't manage to upkeep your streak of combos and attacks, the meter will slowly deplete. You can use  again to slow down the process. There will be an animation tied to this as you hold the button, but it will not do any damage when activated.

It is recommended to use his Ascension Weapon Wurtzite Scythe, this weapon adds attack power and HP to Vaseraga. The recommended Sigils for his build is to prioritize his Damage Cap, his Offensive Traits to fully utilize the amount of damage he can do. We recommend using sigils that will benefit his HP and Aegis, as well as Damage Cap, Critical Hit, and Critical Damage.

Once you get used to Vaseraga's combos and continue to keep an eye on the meter, you should be able to continue to take advantage of his charged attacks which will deal the most damage even to the largest bosses.
