How to Recruit Vane in GBF Relink

Vane Combat Guide for Granblue Fantasy Relink

Vane recovers health as a portion of the damage dealt by his combo finishers and  combos. Additionally, when his  attack meets a foe's attack, he can block it and keep swinging to attack while maintaining his guard. Press  to overwhelm foes with powerful slashes and use  for wide swings to block and attack at the same time. Pulling off combos fills the Beatdown gauge and Vane can perform powerful  combos as long as he has enough gauge to sustain the combos.

Vane is a great tank player but also does a great deal of damage. He is a great choice for DPS builds and tank builds. His tanky abilities and powers can extend to the team allowing him to support the team offensively and defensively, so players will need to find the right balance and timing for when to switch between offensive aggressive attacks and a defensive stance and blocking incoming attacks. Complementing his ability to tank or block incoming enemy attacks is his ability to recover health, adding to his self-preservation. The amount of health that is recovered is affected by the damage dealt by his combo finishers so players using Vane will benefit from playing aggressively while focusing on dealing combos and remembering to use the finisher by pressing . Players can also use these finishers after a Link Attack. During these finisher attacks, Vane also blocks incoming attacks, so time them well. Because his attacks rely so heavily on combos and combo finishers, it will be a good idea to also run his unique sigil which will reduce Cooldowns per combo finisher along with Cascade V sigils to further reduce skill cooldown whenever you hit a foe.

Dealing combos with Vane will also fill his Beatdown gauge which will enhance his combo attacks and allow him to unleash even larger and longer combos. A unique feature Vane has while performing this special combo is the ability to block incoming attacks while the combo is dealt, so players will have some ease of mine waiting for the longer combo to play out. Use the Beatdown Combo to consume the gauge. While this special Beatdown combo consists of a long string of powerful attacks, his basic attack combo consists of a basic 3-hit melee combo dealt with his Halberd, and as mentioned, can also be used with the blocking feature when used with a combo finisher. His combination of blocking, ability to tank, and restore health make him an ideal character to have against large Bosses and enemies.

Overall it will benefit players to create a build that will reduce his Cooldowns to take advantage of his powerful skills and be able to deal more combos and combo finishers, which will in turn fill up the Beatdown gauge, giving you access to larger combos. Then, the sequence rotation can repeat, effectively maximizing damage output and utltizing his skills as much as possible.
