Defender Weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink is one of the five weapon types of the game, Defender Weapons have initial stats that favor the character's HP for the character to serve a more tank-oriented role, or at least to survive more than other roles. Weapons in the game are the characters' main Equipment and serve to deal damage to Enemies as well as contribute to the characters' Stats. Each weapon may provide a different set of stats and effects that improve a character's overall prowess. Each character can wield only a specific set of Weapons, but each one can be under any of the five Weapon types. GBF Relink What are Defender Weapons

Defender Weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink are one of the five Weapon types in the game. Unlike other Weapon types, the Defender Weapons prioritize survivability for its Stats, which means it contributes a higher HP stat to its user, compared to other Weapons. In the demo, all the Defender Weapons also have the HP trait as their default trait, which increases the HP base stat when the weapon is equipped. All the playable characters in the demo have Defender Weapons as their default equipment until the player chooses to change them.

How to Forge and Upgrade Weapons in GBF Relink

Just like the characters themselves, Weapons have their own levels in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Players can see their Weapons' current levels just by selecting them from the Inventory or Gear section of the Main Menu. Beside the level, players can see six hollow stars. Weapons in GBF Relink seem to follow an Upgrade System that is prevalent in most gacha games, while not being a gacha game itself. That is, Weapons will have a limited max level until they are uncapped by filling out each star. Starting from no stars, Weapons level is capped at level 10 until the first star uncapped, which then increases the level cap to level 30. The next star will bring the cap up again to level 50, and so on. Upgrading the Weapon's level will entail using up Fortitude materials and will increase its base HP and ATK stats. Uncapping and filling up stars will entail using up various iterations of Refinium materials, depending on what rank they are being increased to.
