Golemology 101: Desert Golems is a Side Quest in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Players are transported to the Sheerstone Altar in Dahli where they try to undertake a reward from a Golemologist to bring back a part of a Rock Golem for scientific purposes. Players can take on various quests from the Quest Counter and earn valuable rewards for clearing them — these quests are optional and can be completed solo or online co-op with up to 3 other players.
Rumor has it a golem's been discovered on Dahli. These things are exceedingly rare, so we have next to no literature detailing their physiology and mannerisms. This could be my big chance... but will admin even give me the budget to pursue this? You know what? Who cares - bring me back a piece of that golem, please!

Granblue Fantasy Relink Golemology 101: Desert Golems Walkthrough
Side Quests are undertaken by talking to the NPC in the Quest Center in the demo's playable area. After choosing the Side Quest Golemology 101: Desert Golems, players can opt to either attempt it solo or online co-op, with three other players playing three other characters. Once your choice is confirmed, you'll be transported to the Sheerstone Altar automatically. It's good to note that most Side Goals for this particular Side Quest can be done just by naturally attempting to clear it.
For Gelemology 101: Desert Golems, you'll need to dispatch a single Boss-type opponent - the Rock Golem. Just like the Quakadile, the Rock Golem is weak to Wind and will have multiple body parts that can be targeted, and it's best if your party just focuses on a single one and piles on it to keep filling up the monster's Stun Gauge. While boasting devastating attacks, the Rock Golem is slow and for the most part, most of its moves are telegraphed. That being said, its attacks tend to hit a large area, as you'll notice by the indicators that will appear on the ground for some of the attacks, so you'll still need to keep on your toes for this fight. When attacking the large monster, try your best not to get locked into your combo animations while right in front of the Rock Golem so you don't get swiped while unable to dodge away. Characters with combos that allow you to transition to mid-air attacks seamlessly can work to your advantage here as well, as you can attack while dodging his ground attacks.
When it enters Overdrive mode, the Rock Golem will start to shine gold. It will immediately do a devastating ground pound that hits a large area around him, followed by a strong spinning move, so be patient, create a lot of distance between you and the monster, and don't rush in right away. If you're confident in timing your combos and dodges, you can dodge this sequence while attacking the monster, but getting hit will deal a ton of damage. Its other attacks don't really change much, so employ the same tactic as before and keep chipping away at its health. Even on Overdrive mode, it can be toppled by certain heavy hits, especially to its feet, so capitalize on those opportunities when it's vulnerable to deal your biggest damage. Eventually, you'll come out on top of the mountainous creature and complete the Side Quest. You'll be rewarded with the Quest Mode Clear (Demo Version) Reward 3 for doing so.
